Artist's Comments
This is Liesl. She is not a model, and I had only met her once before while shooting her sister Morgen. Saturday I was shooting with her and her other sister, Colby. They were playing around with a few of my props, when I got the idea for this. I can now see a few things I could have done differently, but I still love this photo. We couldn't play too much as Liesl had to go to work. But I think this is one of the best shots we got.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. I don't know what you mean by respecting the image, but as for the model and the artist... How can you respect someone willing to do that, on the one hand, and how can you respect someone who would do that to another on the other?

I don't know about playful, either. Kicking through the autumn leaves or splashing in the surf is playful. Donning a collar and crawling about on the floor is something else.
